Today marks a full year since I left Brussels to cycle around Europe.<\/p>\n
To chase my dreams \u2013 some of which I\u2019ve held on to for ten, twenty, twenty-five years or more.<\/p>\n
To turn my life upside down \u2013<\/p>\n
and while few things have turned out as I planned or imagined, I\u2019ve been undoubtedly successful at the latter.<\/p>\n
Partly because I don\u2019t really know what\u2019s next.<\/p>\n
I have precious few long-term plans, after a lifetime of always knowing where I wanted to go and what I would do next.<\/p>\n
What do you do, after all, when you\u2019ve realised your childhood dreams?<\/p>\n
I have to consciously stop my mind, ever so eager to try to fill that void with all sorts of plans, projects and goals.<\/p>\n
Because this adventure hasn\u2019t ended yet.<\/p>\n
Because this void is as exhilarating as it is scary.<\/p>\n
